Your Hosts Dave and Chris

Your Rotorua bed and breakfast hosts look forward to welcoming you to A Panoramic Country Homestay and guarantee your stay here will be exceptional.

You can expect friendly, relaxed hospitality from your hosts, Chris and Dave, who enjoy entertaining and will ensure your stay with them is a memorable one.

Your friendly hosts, Dave a retired sheep and beef farmer and Chris a retired Registered Nurse, working mainly with Palliative Care patients, have lived in Rotorua for over 13 years. They posses a wealth of knowledge about activities in the district and would be more than happy to help you plan your days with them.

Prior to moving to Rotorua, they both lived on a farm in the Waitomo district, where they hosted farmstay visitors and owned Lost World Tourist attraction.

They really enjoy communicating with people and finding out about the rest of the world. Because of this when they retired they knew they wanted to manage a bed and breakfast accommodation.

Dave enjoyed many years of hunting and fishing and says the peace and beauty that the surrounding lakes offer, is just exquisite. We would be happy to recommend a fishing guide who will guarantee you catch a trout on the lake. As New Zealand does not allow the sale of trout, this will be your only chance of tasting this delicacy. Dave is interested in all sports and used to play cricket, golf and football. There are 5 golf courses within 20 min drive from here and golf clubs are available from us.

Chris's passions include quilting, card making, scrap-booking and cooking and if you are lucky she would be happy to prepare a meal for you on request. Chris was married to an Australian and lived in Queensland for over 21 years. Her three children still reside over there with her 7 grandchildren.

Dave has 3 children still living in New Zealand and two have moved over to Australia for work. They have produced 10 grand children so in total, Chris and Dave have 17 grandchildren. Luckily they don't all arrive home at the same time.
